Since 1979, Randy Dunn and family have owned and operated Dunn Vineyards and Winery and continue to produce one of the best Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain and the Napa Valley.

Randy’s son, Mike Dunn, has been working at the winery full time since 1999, each year taking on more and more responsibilities. Today Mike is both Cellar Master and Assistant Winemaker at Dunn Vineyards. EFactor spoke with him about the benefits and disadvantages of running a family business, the reason why he left his job at the bike shop to join Dunn Vineyards, and what it takes to make it in the wine business nowadays.

Looking Back
