“I’m the kind of guy who looks at the world from a different perspective. I recognize new opportunities where others see business as usual.”
MentorNet eventually morphed into a web development company. And after MentorNet, Dane leveraged his web development skills and joined the dotcom boom of the 90’s era with a web portal development company he called Absolute Authority. It unfortunately lost momentum and stalled out toward the end of the movement.
Dane would say he has been on the cusp of tasting success several times, but has yet to hit that big home run. What he has gained is a stronger entrepreneurial spirit, “I am stronger than ever and confident that my big break is inevitable. I have a plethora of great business ideas, serious skills and an inexhaustible drive.”
Right now Dane is in the beginning stages of a new idea he is really excited about, a travel venture called Social Air. It’s a social network for people who want to save a ton of money on private jet travel by sharing flights. This business targets a very specific group of people, particularly two to five percent of the top income earners in the United States. Still in the formation stage, Dane believes all he really needs to do to get it going is finding the right collaborators and a little bit of funding. He’s certain he can make incredible things happen.
